Part-Time Compliance & Business Manager

Location: Hybrid/Remote, Cypress, TX (20-25 hours per week)

We are a mission-driven nonprofit committed to “Helping vulnerable communities recover from Disaster”. We are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Compliance & Business Manager to help us maintain strong financial and operational practices while supporting our team and mission.


Role Overview:

This part-time position offers flexible hours and the ability to work primarily from home. During peak periods, you may work up to 25 hours per week, while non-peak times typically require 10–15 hours per week.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounting & Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with nonprofit standards.

  • Grant Management: Track grant expenditures and prepare timely reports.

·       Bill Payment & Payroll: Process vendor payments and manage payroll efficiently using QuickBooks Online/ Payroll. Must be detail oriented and have strong communication skills.

·       Accounts Receivable / Payable Experience 

  • Business Operations: Oversee insurance policies and provide light HR support for a small team.

  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory requirements


Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in a church office or nonprofit business office environment.

  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and basic business management practices.

  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities.

  • Flexible, collaborative, and mission driven.


Position Details:

  • Type: Part-time

  • Hours: Flexible; 10–15 hours/week (non-peak), up to 25 hours/week (peak)

  • Location: West Harris County, TX office and remote hybrid with occasional in-person meetings at our Cy-Hope office.
