Hurricane Ida

On August 29, 2021, Louisiana experienced its fourth declared disaster in 12 months.

  • Assisted with collection and delivery of 13 large trucks of supplies to over 9 locations in Louisiana

  • Assisted hard-hit LaPlace, LA with over $2,500 of supplies purchased from our Amazon Wish List

  • Coordinated mission teams and monetary/gift card donations for various locations in Louisiana

Winter Storm 2021

In mid-February 2021, it is estimated that 8.6 million Texans (31%) reported they suffered water damage to their homes as a result of Winter Storm 2021. (Ongoing program)

• Over 423 repairs and are currently assisting an additional 28 families with repairs in twenty-three counties.

Hurricane Laura

On August 27, 2020, Hurricane Laura made landfall as the tenth strongest U.S. hurricane by windspeed on record.  

• Repaired over 154 homes 

• Coordinated over 1,700 Compassionate Care phone calls to SE Texas families with over 22 Congregations and local Long Term Recovery Groups

• Coordinated 11 large trucks with food and supply delivery to SE Texas and SW Louisiana with over 30 Congregations

Tropical Storm Imelda

On September 17, 2019, Tropical Storm Imelda brought record breaking floods to many in the SE Texas area and was the fifth wettest tropical cyclone on record in the U.S. 

• Mucked & gutted and partially repaired 129 homes

Hurricane Harvey

In August 2017, a category 4 hurricane made landfall in Texas and Louisiana, causing catastrophic flooding and more than 100 deaths. This storm was the costliest natural disaster recorded in Texas. Over a four-day period, many areas received more than 40 inches of rain causing unprecedented flooding.  (Ongoing program)
